Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Timetable Genie ("the Add-on"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the Add-on and do not use it.

2. What Timetable Genie Does

Timetable Genie is a Google Sheets™ add-on that builds clash-free school and university timetables from the setup you enter, plans substitute cover when teachers are away, and produces timetable views and management reports inside your own spreadsheet. For large schools, the solve step may run on a Dynamic Minds Group scheduling service as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Price and Plans

  • 3.1 Free. Timetable Genie is currently free of charge: installation, timetable generation, views, reports, and the cover duty planner. No payment card is requested.
  • 3.2 Future paid extras. If optional paid conveniences are ever introduced, they will be announced with at least 30 days' notice, these Terms will be updated, and pricing will be shown before any purchase. Features you already use free will be identified clearly at that time.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use Timetable Genie to:

  • Enter or process content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Attempt to bypass, overload, probe, or disrupt the scheduling service, or use it outside the Add-on.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the Add-on or its scheduling engine.
  • Use the Add-on in violation of Google's terms for Google Workspace™ or the Google Workspace Marketplace.

5. Your Data and Content

  • 5.1 You retain full ownership of everything you enter and everything the Add-on generates in your spreadsheet.
  • 5.2 Your data stays in your own Google account; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what the Add-on accesses and why.
  • 5.3 Do not enter student personal information; it is not required for any feature.

6. Timetables Are Drafts You Approve

  • 6.1 The Add-on enforces the rules you configure and produces timetables that are clash-free with respect to those rules. The accuracy of the output depends on the accuracy of the setup you enter.
  • 6.2 Review every timetable, report, and cover plan before circulating it. Final scheduling and staffing decisions remain with your institution.
  • 6.3 If your setup makes a valid timetable impossible, the Add-on reports this honestly with a suggested fix rather than producing a broken result.

7. Service Availability

  • 7.1 For small and medium schools, generation runs entirely inside your spreadsheet and depends only on Google Workspace™ being available.
  • 7.2 Large schools use the Dynamic Minds Group scheduling service. We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted access; if the service is unreachable, the Add-on automatically falls back to the built-in engine wherever possible.
  • 7.3 We are not responsible for downtime caused by Google Workspace™ or other third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Timetable Genie software, scheduling engine, wizard, report designs, and brand are owned by Dynamic Minds Group. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Add-on for your own institution's scheduling. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Add-on without written permission.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The Add-on is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Add-on will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dynamic Minds Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Add-on. As the Add-on is currently free, our total liability for any claim is limited to INR 1,000 or the amount you paid for the Add-on in the 3 months before the claim, whichever is higher.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by uninstalling it; your spreadsheet and everything in it stay with you. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, particularly of section 4.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the Google Workspace Marketplace listing notes, and continued use after 30 days of notice constitutes acceptance. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
